21 Countries – One Goal

The Pangea Mathematics Competition also connects 21 European countries. In the 2017-18 competition year, 424,059 pupils took part in internationally.

The participating countries are, besides UK , Germany, Belgium, Denmark, France, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Norway, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Czech Republic and Hungary. Other countries are preparing for the competition.

Mathematics connects

The centre of the Pangea mathematics competition is Germany. However, the philosophy of the competition, “mathematics connects”, is transnational. Because of the many different countries with their different curricula, school forms and learning levels, each country completes the competition according to local conditions. Each of the activities is controlled by Pangea Wettbewerb eV and requires his consent. In particular, the organisers must respect the quality criteria of Pangea.
